BRITISH FILM INSTITUTE
Interviewer & Writer

CLIENT: BRITISH FILM INSTITUTE, 2004-ongoing

For the British Film Institute, I’ve written articles and biographies for their website Screenonline (www.screenonline.org.uk) and in 2013 reviewed all their Doctor Who at 50  events on my blog (rob-fairclough.blogspot.co.uk), in order to provide a permanent record of the monthly anniversary events.

I have also assisted with the staging of BFI television seasons. For the August 2013 presentation Patrick McGoohan: A Genuine Original, I helped with sourcing archive material and wrote the programme notes for the screening of Danger Man (top left). For The Sweeney at 40 event in January 2014, Mike Kenwood and I chose film clips from the series and I again contributed the programme notes (left). As part of the Who Do You Trust? season in 2017, Mike and I hosted the Callan at 50 event and conducted an on-stage interview (above) with director Piers Haggard and writer Peter Mitchell, son of the series' creator.
